Introduction 

The Examination for the post of Rajasthan Assistant Prosecution Officer Examination shall be conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Educational Qualification: A candidate must have a degree in law (Professional) or integrated law course from a university established by law in India. 
  • Age Limit: The minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age allowed for the exam is 40 years.

Application Process 

  • Candidates must first read the instructions and advertisement on the Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s official website (https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in) before applying online. 
  • Candidates must register through One-Time Registration (OTR) via the commission’s website or the SSO portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in). 
  • The first-time OTR requires details such as the candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, secondary education details, and one valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License). 
  • Candidates who have already completed OTR can apply using their OTR number through the SSO portal. 

Key Application Instructions 

  • Once registered, candidates cannot modify details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, and gender. 
  • Ensure all details match educational documents before completing OTR. 
  • Candidates must obtain an application number after submission. If not received, the application is considered incomplete. 
  • For technical issues, contact the helpline provided on the recruitment portal. 
  • Candidates applying under any reserved category must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria; false information may lead to disqualification. 
  • Applicants from Rajasthan’s Backward Class/More Backward Class (Creamy Layer) and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes from outside Rajasthan will be considered under the General Category. 
  • Candidates must print a hard copy of the application form for future reference. 
  • No applications will be accepted via offline or handwritten methods. 

Selection Process for Rajasthan Assistant Prosecution Officer  

The Rajasthan Assistant Prosecution Officer exam selection process has two stages which is, Preliminary Written (Objective) Exam and Mains (Written) Exam. The exam stages are: 

  • Preliminary Examination:  
    • The prelims exam is conducted for all the applicants who have applied for the exam. The exam has 100 multiple-choice questions. 
    • Each question has five options marked as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Candidate must darken only one circle (bubble) indicating the correct answer on the Answer Sheet using BLUE BALL POINT PEN. 
    • It is mandatory to fill one option for each question. 
    • If candidate is not attempting a question, then he/she has to darken the marks of question shall be deducted. le '5'. If none of the five circles is darkened, one third (1/3) part of the marks of question shall be deducted. 
    • A candidate who has not darkened any of the five circles in more than 10% questions shall be disqualified. 
  • Mains Examination:  
    • The mains exam will be conducted for prelims qualified candidates. The mains exam shall consist of Paper I of Law (carrying 300 marks) and Paper II of Language (carrying 100 marks).
