Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Law from a recognized University.
- At least two years' experience as an advocate.
- The candidate is required to produce experience certificate duly signed by the President, District Bar Association concerned/ Bar Council.)
- Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge of customs manner and dialects of HP and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh shall be the desirable qualification for the above post.
Scheme of the Examination
Selection Process:
- Conducted by the Commission through two written tests, followed by a Personality Test.
- Both papers will be held on the same day in two sessions (morning and evening).
Paper-I: Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Offline Screening Test:
- Duration: 1 hour
- Total Marks: 100
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks
- Type: Multiple Choice Questions
- Syllabus:
- General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh: 30 Marks
- General Knowledge of National and International Affairs: 30 Marks
- Knowledge of Hindi Language: 20 Marks
- Knowledge of English Language: 20 Marks
- Qualifying Criteria:
- Only candidates who qualify for the Screening Test will have their Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) paper evaluated.
Paper-II: Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT):
- Duration: 3 hours
- Total Marks: 120
- Syllabus: To be uploaded on the official website of the Commission shortly for which link will be provided.
- Conducted either in a single slot or multiple slots, depending on the number of candidates and computer terminal availability.
- Qualifying Criteria:
- General Category: 35% marks
- Reserved Categories: 30% marks
Personality Test (Interview):
- Total Marks: 30
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 40% (12 marks)
- Reserved Categories: 30% (9 marks)
Final Selection:
- Selection will be based on the combined marks of the SAT (120 marks) and the Personality Test (30 marks).
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained by candidates.
