Pay Scale & Service Conditions
- Pay Level: 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
- Service Type: General Central Service, Group “B”, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
- Posting Location: National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi
- Vacancy Nature: 65 Permanent, 1 (OBC) Temporary
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Must possess a Degree in Law from a recognized university/institution.
- Experience: Three years of experience at the bar.
- Desirable: Experience as Government Advocate will be given preference.
- Age Limit (as per category):
- UR/EWS: 30 years
- OBC: 33 years
- SC/ST: 35 years
- PwBD: 40 years
- Age Relaxation: Available as per Government rules
- Note: The UPSC has the discretion to relax educational qualifications and experience for well-qualified candidates or for SC/ST candidates if sufficient experienced applicants are not available.
Duties of an APP in Delhi Prosecution Department
- Representing the Government of NCT of Delhi in criminal matters before Metropolitan Magistrates.
- Advising Delhi Police in criminal investigations.
- Maintaining case statistics and legal records.
- Teaching Law in government institutions (if assigned).

Preparation Strategy to Crack UPSC APP Exam
