  • For CLAT 2026, the exam will be held in offline mode (pen-and-paper format) and will test candidates on English, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and Quantitative Techniques.

  • As per the CLAT calendar trend and official notification pattern from previous years, CLAT 2026 is expected to be held in December 2025

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2026 

For Undergraduate (CLAT UG): 

  • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board 
  • Minimum Marks: 
    • General/OBC/NRI/PIO/OCI: 45% 
    • SC/ST: 40% 
  • Age Limit: No upper age limit 

Candidates appearing in their Class 12 exams in March-April 2026 are also eligible to apply, subject to submitting proof of qualification at the time of admission.

How to Apply for CLAT 2026?

Step 1: Registration 

  • Visit the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in 
  • Click on CLAT 2026 UG Registration. Enter your name, mobile number, and email ID to create a login. 

Step 2: Fill the Application Form 

Login with the registered credentials and complete the form: 

  • Personal Information 
  • Educational Qualifications 
  • Preferred NLUs (based on rank preference) 
  • Exam Centre Choice 

Step 3: Upload Documents 

  • Recent passport-size photograph 
  • Signature 
  • Category certificate (if applicable) 
  • PwD/SAP certificate (if applicable) 

Step 4: Application Fee Payment 

  • General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI: ₹4,000/- 
  • SC/ST/BPL: ₹3,500/-
